Jody Simpson is a software engineer at Google with 3+ years of experience building products and solving client problems using technology. Before software engineering, she worked as a Solutions Engineer on Google Ads, driving impact for large scale customers in retail.
Outside of her main role, she is an enthusiastic supporter of technology, community and helping people to grow. She has consistently explored opportunities during her career to create spaces that facilitate greater accessibility to the wider tech ecosystem and se is deeply committed to social impact work, especially in the Caribbean. She dedicates her time to two main orgs: Techports and WiTC, where she is the co-director. She also actively invests in early stage startups from emerging markets and is interested in anything that relates to tech and the Caribbean.
Gareth Thomas
Gareth Thomas is an enthusiastic product designer currently shaping the future of software development by designing epic user-interfaces that drive user engagement by facilitating their needs and wants, all this while fantasizing about traveling the world and basking in new experiences.
Currently, he works at RealDecoy Global Services in Kingston, Jamaica as a full-stack developer and has a comprehensive command of front and back-end systems, and specializes in Javascript.
Orandi Harris
Orandi Harris is a focused and driven individual who loves to use technology to solve problems. He currently works as a Software Development Engineer in Test at RealDecoy Global Services. For the past three years, he has utilized Node.js to create automated test suites for various web and mobile applications.
He’s committed to the enhancement of Jamaica through the advancement of technology. As such, he is a big advocate for the visual testing process in Jamaica and enjoys sharing information or engaging in conversation with others about how technology can improve the quality of life.
