techports is on a mission to uncover innovative ideas from otherwise unreachable places. Instead of focusing mainly on the best minds that are already known, we want to intentionally seek out talent from unknown sources. Our aim is to engage with the tech and entrepreneurial community at large to foster collaboration, networking and an exchange of ideas. As such, it is our priority to highlight leaders whose visions are rooted in the development of Jamaica and the Caribbean to inspire the next generation of tech innovators.
techports’ ultimate vision is a tech ecosystem in the Caribbean that is accessible and contributes to sustainable growth in the region. Our driving force is the strong belief that younger generations imagine a brighter future for themselves and if given the chance will take steps to contribute to that reality. There is enormous potential and opportunities for development in Jamaica and the Caribbean, and it is our intention to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship powered by technology.
